We are absolutely delighted to be back on the tracks for 2023 and we think it’s quite fitting that it’s exactly one year, to the day, that we held our first ever Whiskey on the Tracks.

This year, passengers will join us on board carriage F of the Railway Society of Irelands ‘The Midlander’ train as we travel back in time and board a steam train for a unique whiskey tasting experience.

Take your seat, sit back, relax and enjoy the specially curated selection of Irish Whiskey for today’s journey.

We’re delighted to be able to confirm that today’s journey is being supported by Irish Distillers – Pernod Ricard and they have selected some special whiskeys for the day.

On the day we will be pouring a selection of Powers Irish Whiskeys including, Three Swallow, Johns Lane and we’re delighted to also have the new Powers Irish Rye for you to enjoy.

Our journey today brings us from Dublin Connolly to Maynooth, departing at 15:05. The journey time to Maynooth is approximately 45 minutes. Upon arrival in Maynooth passengers will be able to alight from the train, and watch, as No.85 ‘Merlin’ uncouples, runs around the train and couples again directly to carriage F for the return leg.

Arrival back to Dublin Connolly is scheduled for approximately 17:09.
