Whiskey on the Tracks are delighted to be able to board, the Railway Preservation Society of Irelands, Steam and Jazz Special, as we travel back in time and board a steam train for a unique whiskey tasting experience.
Take your seat, sit back, relax and enjoy the specially curated selection of Irish Whiskey and the wonderful sounds of Jazz, for today’s journey!
We’re delighted to be able to confirm that we will be tasting the following range of Irish Whiskey from Bushmills Distillery: The classic Bushmills 10 Year Old Single Malt along the newly released Bushmills 2012 Single Malt, finished in Pomerol Casks and the Bushmills 2002 Single malt, finished in Vermouth Casks. We will be joined on board by, Lauren McMullan, to bring us through our amazing flight of whiskey and she will be available to answer any questions you may have.
Our journey today brings us from Whitehead Excursion Station via Belfast Lanyon to Lisburn and return. This special train will be departing Whitehead at 18:00 but there will also be the option of boarding at 19:00, at Belfast Lanyon Station (please let us know when you make your booking where you will join the train)
From Belfast we will travel out to Lisburn where after a short stop we will return direct to Whitehead station, arriving approximately 21:30. With our ‘Whiskey on the Tracks’ now at an end our passengers will be able to enjoy the sounds of the legendary ‘Cresent City New Orleans Dixieland Jazz band’ on the platform at Whitehead with the return journey to Belfast Lanyon scheduled for 23:15.
*Please note that should passengers wish to make there way back to Belfast Lanyon before 23:15 they will be able to do so, at their own cost, by using a Northern Ireland Rail service from the mainline Whitehead station which is only a short walk away.
